Biography

Randy Myers writes about technology, investing, insurance, pension management, corporate finance, personal finance and corporate governance for corporate and institutional clients.

From 1983 to 1987, Randy was a writer and editor for Dow Jones & Co., where he co-developed and became founding managing editor of the publisher’s premier stock market news wire, Dow Jones Professional Investor Report (PIR), a sophisticated real-time wire service that alerted investment professionals to unusual stock market activity using advanced computer systems and expert financial reporters. 

Prior to launching PIR, Randy served as a reporter and editor for Dow Jones News Service, the nation’s leading business and financial news wire; wrote the popular “Abreast of the Market” column for The Wall Street Journal Europe; and contributed investment articles to Barron’s magazine. 

From 1979 to 1983, Randy was a reporter for the Harrisburg (PA) Patriot, a 50,000-circulation daily, where he helped cover the landmark nuclear power plant accident at Three Mile Island and subsequently wrote on a variety of government, political and business issues.

Randy graduated with highest honors from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor of humanities degree. He is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA).
